Newspaper Article

This article appeared in our local newspaper on Saturday, May 14th about the upcoming triathlon Walt is competing in. The money we raise goes directly to Apfed. Besides a few quotes being a little misquoted, it was pretty informative! Hope you enjoy!

  1. My name is Heather and I actually live in neighboring Anson County. My daughter has recently been diagnosed with EoE. I was wondering, did your son experience the symptoms every day? My daughter had a eosinophil level of "greater than 30" but she seems to be doing better than she had been in the past and has not experienced the symptoms daily.

  2. Hey Heather!! I cannot believe that you live so close! Do you know if there is anyone else that lives around this area with EoE? To your question, Jordan has always been very difficult to figure out! Somedays he actually tells us he hurts and other days we can tell in his behavior. When he was smaller, he hardly ever slept through the night, would not transition to table food, and gagged a lot. Even at his highest count (70) this past time, I did not see a lot of outward signs. It is very confusing. At his age, I can more or less see a negative behavior change that signals to me he isn't feeling well. Feel free to contact me at M_Randi@Hotmail.com.
